**Please note I currently have a waitlist for new clients until January 21st, 2019**
Welcome! I'm glad you're here.
I provide therapy in a welcoming, calming environment that allows my clients to feel safe and understood. I help kids and teens overcome their constant feelings of worry, fear, and uneasiness. If you're a caregiver and you're looking for extra support to help your child, you've come to the right place. Throughout sessions with me, children and adolescents overcome their anxieties, feel empowered, decrease behavior problems, and see overall improvement in their lives.
I began my work in Denver as a Family Service Provider, which included providing in-home therapy to children and families dealing with challenges such as depression, substance abuse, and self-harm, among others. I then transitioned into School Social Work, working in the public school system at the elementary and middle level with children in need of social/emotional support and crisis intervention. From there, I pursued my long-term goal of opening a private practice in Denver, and moved my practice to the Chicagoland area in 2018.
I love the work that I do and I am so grateful for my wonderful clients who invite me into their therapy process. My love for therapy began when I was on the other side of the therapist's office as a client. Having been through it myself, I have a unique advantage as a therapist to understand where children and teens are coming from when they share their story.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Denver with a clinical concentration in High-Risk Youth. I hold a certificate in Interpersonal Trauma Studies from DU and I am trained in trauma informed care. Additionally, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Colorado and Illinois.
When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my husband, friends, and family.

EXPERIENCE & Training
I strongly believe that it is important for me to continue ongoing professional development in order to provide the best therapeutic services. I am currently taking a course on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. Additionally, I regularly seek out and attend continuing education sessions that are in line with my client demographic (ie self-harm, suicidal ideation identification with teens, etc).
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and attend monthly networking/cohort groups to collaborate with my colleagues. Lastly, my background in School Social Work enables me to understand the functions of the public school system and how school-based services impact your child.
